DUI Offender Caught with Meth in Pocket

What started out as a drunk driving arrest became more serious after police found drugs in the suspect's pocket. Now one young man could spend several years in jail for the double offense. Police reports show that the suspect, 25-year-old J.M., was speeding along a highway heading east when he zoomed by an officer. The officer pulled him over and conducted several field sobriety tests. When the driver failed the tests, the officer declared him to be under arrest and started to search his person. It was then that he found a packet of methamphetamines rolled into a wad of dollar bills.

J.M. was charged with driving without a license, DUI of drugs, DUI of alcohol, bringing controlled substances into a jail setting and possession of a controlled substance.
