Speeding Driver Stopped for DUI

When California Highway Patrol Officer Cindy Leal witnessed a 1999 Plymouth van speeding on County Road 22, she attempted to pull the vehicle over.

Although she had to race to catch up with the vehicle, Officer Leal was able to get the driver's attention, signaling the woman to pull over. When Officer Leal, accompanied by another officer, walked up to the vehicle, they quickly determined that the woman was driving under the influence. The suspect, a 29-year-old woman, was given several field sobriety tests, leading to her arrest for DUI.
