Tulsa World News has reported that a former Creek County judge, arrested on July 19 for DUI and other varied charges, has been in trouble with the law more than once.
The former judge, D.T., 64, is currently facing a total of six charges, three of which are felonies.
The bail amount included $25,000 for each felony. The felony charges were for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled
substance without a prescription - after former felony convictions for both.
Misdemeanor charges included driving with an open container, having defective equipment on his vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
Bail on the open container and defective equipment was set at $250 each and driving without a valid license warranted another $1,000.
That grand total for his bail was calculated and set at $76,500 by Special District Judge Richard Woolery.
D.T. is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
His arrest took place on Oklahoma 117, at 49th West Avenue near Sapulpa, just after 4 a.m. on July 19.
He was pulled over because the arresting officer witnessed him weaving in between lanes and for a broken taillight.
Once pulled over, the officer noted an open beer container in the vehicle, Lortab in D.T.'s possession and a third item that may have caused him to drive erratically: heart condition medication.
D.T. was also driving with a temporary license that had expired four days earlier.
In 2009 D.T. was convicted for actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. He had originally been charged with driving under the influence.
This past June he was charged with misdemeanor stalking in Sapulpa. Allegedly the victim was D.T.'s former girlfriend, A.M.F.
That case is set for a court hearing on August 9.
D.T. was arrested on March the 3rd after A.M.F. reported to police that he had been watching her with binoculars when she had been changing her car's flat tire.
Officers state that when they arrested D.T. his pants were "unzipped and gaping open."
When A.M.F. failed to make it to a court hearing, per records, her request for a protective order against D.T. was dismissed.
The stalking case is assigned to Payne County District Attorney Tom Lee.
D.T.'s troubles with the law began approximately five years ago when he was tried in Bristow for indecent exposure. After an almost three-week long trial, D.T. was found guilty for four counts of indecent exposure for masturbating - using a penis pump - while he was serving as a judge in four trials.
He was released from prison in 2008 after being incarcerated for 20 months.
A.M.F. also failed to appear in that trial when she was called up to testify as a witness. Prosecutors had claimed that A.M.F. was depicted on several pornographic photographs that had been found on D.T.'s courtroom office computer.
