Police in Reno were finally able to track down the driver responsible for causing an accident on Airway Drive and South McCarran Boulevard before fleeing the scene.
Elizabeth Shaw, 23, was charged with felony hit-and-run and DUI when she drove her 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 through a red light, hitting the vehicle of a 68-year-old female driver. She caused minor injuries to both the driver and her passenger.
Police didn't find her right away, not until later that night when a Dodge Ram with significant damage was seen in the area of 1001 South Meadows Parkway. Shaw still showed signs of medical impairment and was taken for treatment at Renown Medical Center. Officers were waiting to then transport her to the Washoe County Jail where she is currently being held on a $32,275 bail.
Have you recently been arrested for felony DUI? This is a serious charge no matter what state you were arrested in which is why you need to take the time to hire a
