Actor Chris Klein Arrested for DUI

In Los Angeles, it is reported that actor Chris Klein was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).  Klein is well known for his supporting role in the American Pie movies and is 31 years old.

Officers say that Klein was placed under arrest at 3 AM.  He had been traveling on Los Angeles Highway 101 when he was pulled over for suspicion of DUI.  Police report that Klein was unable to pass field sobriety tests and that when he consented to a breath test, his result was three times the state's legal limit.  In California, the legal limit is 0.08%. 

Due to the fact that this is not Klein's first DUI offense, he may face jail time if he is convicted.  In 2004, Klein was arrested and charged with DUI.  As a repeat offender, he automatically faces a minimum of 4 days in jail for this second DUI violation.
