Former Deputy Gets Jail Time for DUI

A former Virginia Beach sheriff's deputy has received a six-year prison sentence for a drunken driving accident that resulted in serious injuries for two people. Lisa Marie Schettler entered a guilty plea for the charges of driving reckless under the influence (victim permanently impaired) and driving under the influence (second conviction in a five-year period).Of her six-year sentence, 1.5 years has been suspended on condition of supervised probation, the completion of alcohol programs and 10 years of good behavior. According to reports, Schettler's BAC at the time of this accident was .44 percent.
