Seven DUI cases have been dismissed and two cases have had the charges reduced due to faulty blood-alcohol tests at the Colorado Springs Metro Crime Lab. There was a discovery of errors and a review of the results of the blood samples and the tests that showed that the results at this lab were higher than the actual alcohol content in the blood samples. Of the nine DUI cases, five of the defendants had served jail time.
