Ohio Man Charged with DUI in Accident Earlier

In Ohio, a 27 year old man by the name of David Barbour was charged with driving under the influence after his car struck another vehicle and instantly killed two other men.  According to police, Barbour had a blood alcohol concentration of .148 when the accident occurred.  Police also report that prior to this DUI accident on Saturday, Barbour had recently been involved in another motor vehicle crash. 

Attorney Jodi Peterson said that before Barbour drove, he had consumed a whole bottle of wine and also three vodka martinis.  The accident occurred on 62nd and Ashland.  Once Barbour crashed into the other vehicle, a witness said that he exited his car and started yelling at the passengers in the other vehicle before speeding off.  

It is reported by police that the accident happened because Barbour ran a red light on 59th and Ashland, causing him to crash into a car that was being driven by another 27 year old named William Taylor.  Both Taylor and his passenger, 28 year old Lawrence Peterson, died at prior to arriving at Holy Cross Hospital.  Another passenger in Taylor's car was also rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

After his arrest, Barbour was held by law enforcement in lieu of $500,000 bail.  He is currently facing two charges of reckless homicide and two counts of aggravated DUI.
