New Jersey Woman Injured in DUI Motorcycle Accident

Recently on PressRepublican.com - a New Jersey woman was injured while riding as a passenger on a motorcycle in Saranac Lake. The motorcycle operator, James Gibson, and his female passenger were struck by a man who was driving a car on Main Street.
According to Saranac Lake police, the man, 81-year old Ronald A. Engelhardt made a left-hand turn and crossed paths with the 1985 Honda motorcycle. The motorcyclist was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear quarter panel of Engelhardt's Lexus.
Motorcycle passenger, Tina Premo, was found injured at the site of the crash. She received treatment at Adironack Medical Center for a serious leg injury.
Mr. Gibson was charged with DUI by local law enforcement because he had been convicted of DUI earlier in the year. He also received a ticket for having inadequate brakes and was arraigned in the Town Court.
