In Georgia, you can lose your license in three different ways: cancellation, revocation, and suspension. Cancellation of your license can occur if you do not give the required information or correct information needed in your license application or if you are ineligible for a license for some other reason. Once you satisfy the requirements, you may reapply for a license. A revocation means that your driving privileges are terminated for a specified time period. When the time period ends, you may apply for a license against once you satisfy all necessary requirements. A suspension is a temporary withdrawal of your driving privileges for a specified time period, after which you may apply for a license after satisfying all requirements.
