Young Mother Arrested for DUI and Child Endangerment

Santa Rosa, California -- A young mother faces DUI and child endangerment charges after flipping her SUV, while her three young children were in the car, ages 2, 4 and 6. The mother and her two older daughters were ejected from the vehicle during the horrific accident nearby the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport. Twenty-three-year-old Christian Galvan had been arguing with her husband about her drinking before the event took place. Her husband left the house in order to avoid further confrontation with his wife. Shortly afterwards, she packed her kids in the family’s Chevy Tahoe and left the family gathering.
Galvan was driving her SUV down a country road at a high speed, heading East on Laughlin road at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1st when she lost control of her SUV and struck a guardrail. The truck overturned, landing on its wheels. The Tahoe was partially hanging on the guardrail and partially hanging in a five-foot ditch on the shoulder, beside the road.
Fortunately the mother and her three young children survived the crash without life-threatening injuries. Galvan was driving on an expired license at the time, and she was arrested for DUI and child endangerment.
