Pitcher for Tampa Bay Rays Arrested for Drunk Driving

A professional athlete is being kept behind bars until his next court appearance. Brian Bush, a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, was detained after causing a drunk driving accident in Florida. The 26-year-old was detained last Friday when police first received a 911 call about the accident. A fellow motorist saw the athlete strike a man on a motorcycle before taking off. When police finally caught up with the suspect, they learned that it was a pitcher for the Rays. He has formally been charged with driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI and several other counts.

As for the victim, 72-year-old A.T. was transported to an area hospital in reportedly critical condition. His injuries have not been released to the public, nor is it known whether he was wearing a helmet at the time of the DUI accident. The suspect is now claiming that he has an alcohol problem, a fact which he might try to use in his favor. Were you arrested for DUI?
