Police Track Down DUI Accident Suspect

Several days after causing a fatal car accident, police finally caught up with and arrested the suspect in North Carolina.

Police reports show that the accident happened on a major interstate around 4 PM.  The suspect was driving a SUV that struck a smaller vehicle. The force of the impact was great enough to send the car off the roadway and into a tree. As a result of the crash, the driver of the second vehicle died and the passenger was taken to a nearby medical facility.

The 34-year-old man responsible for the accident fled the scene, but not before several witnesses caught a good look at his face and vehicle. Based on this information, police in Chester County were finally able to detain him. He now faces multiple charges including DUI, vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
