Woman Faces Vehicular Manslaughter CHarges for Death of California Man

A young woman faces in Tampa faces multiple charges for her role in the death of a California man.
The 18-year-old woman, whose identity has yet to be released, was operating her vehicle at a speed twice the posted limit and ran two stop signs before colliding with a 1994 Honda. The driver, Jason Plummer, was pronounced dead at the scene. With him were four passengers, all of whom were injured as a result of the accident.
Since the young woman showed signs of impairment when officers arrived, they administered field sobriety tests and found her blood-alcohol content to be 0.74. She was brought to the Hillsborough County Jail, and later released on a $35,000 bond. She has since been charged with one count of vehicular manslaughter, three counts of reckless driving with serious bodily injury and three counts of DUI with serious bodily injury for the events of November 20, 2010.
