Coach Mike Ditka Arrested for Drunk Driving

Coach Mike Ditka was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of DUI and he is not happy.

He was quoted in the Chicago Tribune saying that he "was not driving a car. I was parked. The keys weren't even in the ignition. The 49-year-old coach has already stated that he will plead not guilty to the charges against him; in fact, he believes that he is being targeted due to his famous name. The incident occurred last weekend when a police officer noticed an SUV drive from one parking lot to another before turning its lights off. When the officer went to investigate, he found Ditka in the driver's seat with another person in the passenger seat.

Police reports show that his blood-alcohol content was 0.189, well above the state limit of 0.08. The passenger confirmed that Ditka was at the wheel when the vehicle pulled into the second parking lot. Ditka was arrested and later released on $100 cash bond.
