Off-Duty Officer Caught Drunk Driving

While we trust police officers to keep the bad guys off the streets, sometimes officers are the bad guys. That was the case in New Orleans, Louisiana when an off-duty officer not only caused a multiple accidents but then fled the scene of the accident

The 34-year-old is believed to have struck three vehicles while driving intoxicated last Sunday night. After the third hit-and-run, the officer was pulled over and asked to take a breath test. He was found to be well above the state's legal limit, although his exact number was not released to the public. The officer has since been charged with hit and run, reckless operation, having an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker and driving under the influence.
