Accident Caused by Alcohol

A man and woman are lucky to not be more seriously injured after being thrown from a speeding SUV last week. The accident, which took place in California, is believed to have been caused by alcohol.

When officers with the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene, they found the 54-year-old man and 43-year-old woman both lying on the pavement. Witnesses state that the vehicle was swerving across the roadway when it drifted into oncoming traffic. At that last moment, the man jerked the steering wheel to force the car back into the right lane. Instead, he caused the vehicle to flip, ejecting both himself and his passenger. Both were brought to local hospitals shortly after the DUI accident.
