Woman Leads Police on Chase and Gets Arrested for DUI

In Belmond, the California Highway Patrol said that a woman from Boulder Creek led officers on a chase up Highway 9 before pulling over and being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

30 year old Nicole Kusaba was driving recklessly on the two-lane mountain highway at approximately 9:00 AM, said CHP officer Jeff Hatcher.  An officer from the CHP noticed and attempted to stop her near San Lorenzo Valley High School, but she continued to drive her gray Audi north for about a mile before pulling over.

Hatcher said Kusaba was, "weaving over the double yellows into oncoming traffic."

She later pulled off the highway at Glen Arbor Drive and was placed under arrest on suspicion of drunk driving and failure to yield to a police officer.
