Woman Hits Motorized Scooter While DUI

In St Petersburg, officers report that a local woman is facing DUI and other criminal charges after she crashed into a motorized scooter and continued to drive home with the scooter lodged under her vehicle.
Allegedly, 22-year-old Jessica J. Eddy was driving at 11:30 PM on Friday when she turned her 1987 BMW in crashed into the scooter, which was traveling northbound. 20-year-old Bruce W. Barber Jr. tried to avoid the accident by putting his scooter to the side. After the impact, he ended up on the side of the road while Eddy drove off with his motorized bike.
Instead, Eddy continued on her drive home where officers later found her and the scooter. A surveillance camera captured footage of Eddy parking her BMW and then staggering into her residence.
