26 Year Old Woman Arrested for Vehicular Manslaughter

A 26-year-old woman in Boise just hasn't learned her lesson yet about reckless driving. Already on parole for vehicular manslaughter, Patience Smith was arrested yet again, this time for driving under the influence.

Officers originally pulled her over when they saw her broken tail light, but when they detected the strong smell of alcohol emanating from her vehicle, they conducted a DUI investigation.

She is already on probation for an incident that occurred in 2006 where alcohol was also involved. At that time Smith was involved in an accident in Lemhi County where a crash resulted in the death of a passenger.

Smith has now been charged with felony parole violation and DUI.

Vehicular manslaughter is a serious charge that carries with it serious punishments. If someone you know is currently carrying a charge of vehicular manslaughter, you should consult with a DUI lawyer immediately. It could make the difference between a lifetime in jail or parole.
