Josh is a Partner in the firm of Hofland & Tomsheck and is dedicated to the representation of individuals charged with crimes. Josh has focused his practice on defending those charged with Drunk Driving/DUI/DWI offenses. Josh is a Member of the National College for DUI Defense, one of less than 10 attorneys in all of Southern Nevada to hold such a position.
Prior to the creation of the Criminal Law and DUI division of the Law Firm of Hofland & Tomsheck, Josh was a Chief Deputy District Attorney, where he was assigned to the Major Violators Unit of the Clark County (Las Vegas) D.A.'s Office, specializing in violent felonies involving firearms.
Josh's Criminal Law experience is extensive. He has argued cases all over Nevada, including appearing numerous times before the Nevada Supreme Court. Josh has been the lead trial attorney in the most serious of cases, including Capital Murder, Murder, Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery, Drug Charges including Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Habitual Criminal and Gun Crimes. Josh has also litigated, and taken to trial, dozens of cases involving drunk driving or domestic battery charges. Of the more than 150 jury and bench trials Josh has tried to verdict, his success rate is over 95%.
Josh has been the trial attorney in numerous high profile cases which have been featured on local and national television including “48 Hours Mystery” and gavel to gavel trial coverage on “InSession” (formerly CourtTV).
