Tragedy struck in California last week when a teenage driver took the life of three people.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old driver was speeding along local roads when he collided with another vehicle. He lost control of his vehicle and spun off the roadway, killing his 21-year-old male front passenger. Two more male passengers were also killed in the accident, one of their bodies found under the vehicle when police arrived.
Other than the driver, the only other person to survive the underage DUI accident was a 17-year-old female. She was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. She is lucky to have escaped with her life since she, along with two other passengers, was not wearing their seat belts.
The driver now faces multiple charges, including underage DUI and involuntary manslaughter.
